DCM Inc. is hiring a Retail Associate (Budtender) to join our Washington, DC area dispensary. You'll provide product knowledge, assist customers, and ensure a clean, well-stocked sales floor while delivering friendly, compliant service.

The role requires age 21+, a high school diploma, and experience in retail or food service, with METRC knowledge preferred. You will participate in training and contribute to a positive customer/patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass Federal and State criminal history background check.
• Minimum two years of retail or food service experience; cannabis experience preferred.
• Minimum two years METRC experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Keep the dispensary stocked, clean and organized.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains.
• Ensure high levels of customer/patient satisfaction with service and professionalism.
• Counsel customers/patients on cannabis use, dosages, forms and effects.
• Conduct sales transactions accurately in the POS system.
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions.

Retail Associate (Budtender)

Our Retail Associate is responsible for product knowledge, the sale of products, customer/patient experience, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This individual will also assist customers/patients with their purchases, recommend suitable products, address concerns, and ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked at all times. It is imperative that this individual have a passion for the cannabis industry, a strong knowledge of cannabis products, and experience managing a successful retail team.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Ensure that the dispensary is always adequately stocked, clean and well organized.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
• Ensure high levels of customer/patient satisfaction through excellent service and professionalism.
• Meet with customers/patients to discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of the company's relationship with them.
• Counsel customers/patients regarding the use of cannabis and cannabis-infused products, including dosages, forms, effects, and side effects.
• Conduct sales transactions, accurately inputting all necessary data regarding transactions and inventory in the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.

All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
• You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• We ask that you have a minimum of two (2) years of retail or food service experience, with two (2) years of cannabis experience preferred.
• We ask that you have a minimum of two (2) years of METRC experience.

Work Schedule/Location:

• On-site 5 days a week.
