Job summary

Ayr Wellness in Virginia seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacist General Manager in daily dispensary operations, handle intake, order fulfillment, and patient flow, and maintain compliance with Virginia regulations.

You will supervise pharmacy techs during shifts, manage inventory, assist with audits, and ensure accurate cash handling, safety, and high-quality patient experiences across all store touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Virginia license as Pharmacy Technician in good standing or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years of retail, healthcare, or regulated operations experience.
• Strong leadership or supervisory experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacist General Manager in daily dispensary operations.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and ensure operational readiness.
• Ensure smooth daily workflows including intake, order fulfillment, and patient flow.
• Monitor store performance and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
• Maintain consistency across all retail touchpoints.
• Coach team on patient interaction standards and service expectations.
• Assist in resolving escalated patient concerns with leadership.
• Supervise dispensary pharmacy techs and support staff during shifts.
• Maintain product knowledge and compliant product recommendations.
• Support inventory control including receiving, stocking, and movement.
• Assist with audits, compliance checks, and regulatory adherence.
• Monitor cash handling procedures and POS accuracy.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and store standards.
