Job summary

District Cannabis LLC. is seeking an Inventory Manager in Maryland to lead shift operations, manage and audit cannabis product inventories, and collaborate across departments to forecast demand and optimize stock levels.

The role requires METRC experience, strong leadership and data-analysis skills, and a background in inventory management within a cannabis or regulated industry. On-site work five days a week with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Sales Management, Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • Minimum of three years of inventory management experience, cannabis experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years METRC experience.
  • Pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory and reorder to prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Inventory Manager

Our Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing and controlling the dispensary's inventory of cannabis products and related supplies. This includes overseeing the ordering, receiving, storing, and tracking of inventory to ensure accurate stock levels. This individual will also monitor product quality, expiration dates, and inventory turnover rates. Additionally, the Inventory Manager will be responsible for implementing inventory management systems, conducting regular audits, and developing strategies to optimize inventory control processes.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Strategic Collaboration, Operations & Execution
  • Oversee shift operations and supervise team members.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, transactions, and product information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and operations to forecast inventory needs and plan accordingly.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Audit inventory levels weekly and report needed products to operations according to ordering SOP.
  • Regularly performing METRC and POS audits and verify data for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
Strategic Collaboration, Operations & Execution (Cont.)
  • Implement inventory management best practices to optimize inventory control.
  • Optimize storage space utilization and organization to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure store compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate inventory status, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure the store remains compliant with security, inventory, and local and state regulations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
  • Provide education for employees about different cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanisms.
Team Leadership & Performance Analytics
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, guiding teams to achieve optimal results.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Human Resources Department and appropriate partners to implement and manage the company's policies and procedures.
  • Retain and develop top performers by understanding individual's motivations and providing actionable feedback.
  • Addresses low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies.

Qualifications we ask you to have:
  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have a Associate's degree in Business Administration, Sales Management, Supply Chain Management or Logistics (Bachelor's Degree Preferred).
  • We ask that you have a minimum of three (3) years of experience that demonstrates growthand/or advancement in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility.
  • We ask that you have a minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience.
  • We ask that you have a minimum of three (3) years of inventory management experience, with two (2) years of cannabis experience preferred.
  • We ask that you have a minimum of two (2) years of METRC experience.
  • We ask that you have excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, personal integrity, and business acumen.

Work Schedule/Location:
