Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a Dispatcher/Traffic Controller who will direct day-to-day route operations and report to the Dispatch Supervisors. This role involves communication with drivers and clients, organizing activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, on-time performance, and reporting sign-in/sign-out times. The dispatcher must also communicate service issues promptly.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Handle client calls and communicate issues with drivers and Supervisors/Managers.
  2. Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road service quality.
  3. Promote positive employee morale and customer service.
  4. Monitor and record driver sign-in/sign-out daily.
  5. Assign trips to drivers to ensure balanced workload.
  6. Monitor system performance daily.
  7. Participate in performance analysis and review.
  8. Report route delays or issues to Supervisors/Managers.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Talent Requirements:
  1. One year of previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
  2. Two years of Customer Service experience preferred.
  3. High School diploma or equivalent.
  4. Experience with Trapeze software.
  5. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  6. Strong customer service skills.
  7. Professional phone manner.
  8. Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
  9. Valid CA Driver License; willingness to obtain CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements.
  10. Ability to obtain and maintain a Camp Pendleton Base Pass.

Starting pay rate: $31.77/hour
