This position is fully onsite and requires weekends.

Description

The Dispatcher/Call Center Associate is responsible for taking calls from Providers requesting Interpreter Services. This individual will:

  • Communicate with departments such as nursing, staff, physicians, schedulers, etc., to coordinate and submit Interpretation Services requests for Limited English Proficient (LEP) patients.
  • Maintain high contact with internal staff and external vendors like interpreter agencies to exemplify service quality.
  • Organize and coordinate interpreter schedules, resolve conflicts, and monitor efficiency.
  • Stay in communication with vendors to send interpreter requests.
  • Assign tasks to staff and agencies based on schedules, respond to emails and phone requests, and update the EMITS team schedule.
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills over the phone.
  • Monitor, record, and collect operation-specific data for administrative purposes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of call center or related customer service experience.
  • Additional experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
  • Skills in customer service, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication.
  • Ability to make sound judgments quickly.
  • Proficient in computer and web-based software, adaptable to software changes.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to follow and give instructions clearly and pleasantly.
