The Dispatcher/Batchman position is responsible for receiving, assigning, scheduling, and communicating work orders to ready mix drivers to ensure that operations and projects are completed in a timely manner. This position will work with the dispatching systems to maximize production, delivery efficiency, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate batch plant equipment to produce concrete and other building materials.
2. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
3. Answer incoming calls and communications with customers, always going the extra mile for our customers.
4. Collaborate with plant managers, drivers, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of concrete.
5. Implement and monitor performance metrics to assess the efficiency and productivity of operations.
6. Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues related to delivery schedules, product quality, and service.
7. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, fostering a safe working environment.
8. Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, discuss operational challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and members of the SRM team.
10. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes, contributing insights to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
2. Ability to operate or quickly learn a variety of communication systems, executing directions accurately with speed.
3. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving operational excellence.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with team members, customers, and partners.
6. Proficiency in various software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards is helpful.
8. Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
9. Previous concrete and batch plant experience is preferred.
