Job summary

Winebow in Georgia is seeking a dependable Dispatcher/Delivery Coordinator to support our transportation team. You will learn routes, dispatch drivers, monitor daily deliveries, and resolve issues with drivers, accounts and sales staff.

This full-time on-site role requires strong organizational and customer-relations skills, experience with Roadnet or MobileCast, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. You will assist safety programs and generate daily reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with route delivery systems is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and customer relations skills.
• Ability to work extended daily hours and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain knowledge of all delivery routes and customers.
• Dispatch delivery drivers with daily routes and assignments.
• Monitor drivers and resolve issues for drivers, accounts and sales.
• Respond to calls from drivers, accounts and 3PL customers promptly.
• Coordinate with customer service on missed deliveries and turnarounds.
• Track daily exceptions and provide reports to management.
• Support safety programs and investigate incidents as needed.
• Prepare daily driver statistics and assist with DOT programs.
• Back up driver/router duties as required.

Help make recommendations to prevent future incidents.Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.Assists with administrative functions supporting the transportation department to include, but not limited to daily, weekly and/or monthly reporting and DOT programs such as random drug testing and MVR reports.Ability to work overtime as neededOTHER FUNCTIONS:Act as a backup driver and/or router as necessary.Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to ManagerOther duties as assignedWORKING CONDITIONS:Prolonged sitting while multi-tasking including answering calls and emails. When driving, ability to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold.EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED:Pallet jack, forklift, cherry picker, reach truck, RF device, voice pick system, time clock, office equipment (including computer/printer, fax, photocopier, calculator, and telephone).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
