Job summary

Taylor Fresh Foods, Inc. in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily shipping and receiving, schedule inbound appointments, and process orders in our Taylor Farms systems.

You will work closely with drivers and the transportation team to ensure accurate paperwork and on-time delivery in a fast-paced food distribution environment. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years clerical experience, proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook, and a proven ability to analyze and improve

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Self-starter with the ability to analyze and improve processes.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clerical position.
• Strong candidate who can motivate colleagues to achieve daily goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Dependable transportation to and from work.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicating all day-to-day updates pertinent to all key departments.
• Scheduling inbound receiving appointments via phone and email.
• Processing inbound and outbound orders in our Taylor Farms system.
• Keeping up with all daily tasks, SOP for dispatch in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicating and interacting with all company and inbound drivers including communicating the necessary information provided by the coordinator.
• Responsible for training new additions to the dispatch team when applicable.
• Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed in a timely fashion.
• Assign seals to outbound trucks.
• Ensure driver’s documentation procedures are accurately followed.
• Proper tracking of arrival and departure times must be completed and accurate.
• Bills must be printed for completed loads.
• Pick tickets must be printed as required.
• Logistic log sheet updated accurately as needed.
• Ensure phone calls and message distribution are done in a timely fashion.
• Handle in a timely fashion all calls for inbound appointments.
• Ensure Receiving paperwork is accurately compiled.
• Proper change over procedures followed at beginning and end of shift.
• Responsible for following all policies and procedures established to implement, maintain and ongoing improvement of the SQF program.
• Ensure all GM, PPE and safety procedures per Taylor Farms requirements are being followed.
• Additional duties may be assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
