Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Dispatcher for our Springfield, Missouri site. This onsite role involves handling order processing, data entry in multiple systems, labeling, and material dispatch from off-site locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or higher.
• 1 year experience in manufacturing, logistics, shipping, order processing, or related operational role.
• 1 year experience using computer-based systems for data entry, order management, inventory tracking, or similar operations.

Responsibilities

• Support order processing activities, including allocation and deallocation of orders and navigation of specification databases.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in required operational systems.
• Operate and maintain labeling systems, producing labels and special markings for internal and external customers.
• Dispatch materials to and from off-site storage locations.
• Prepare and submit shipping and production reports, including dry ice shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with Packaging Engineering, Transportation, and Regulatory teams to resolve specification and shipping related issues.
• Provide cross-functional support and backup coverage within the dispatcher work group and Order Services team as needed.
• Follow all 3M and department policies, procedures, and work practices.
• Follow all safety requirements, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Participate in plant initiatives and continuous improvement teams (Six Sigma, Green, ERT, HLT, 3M Club, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position located in Springfield, Missouri. Work onsite. No travel required. Relocation assistance is not authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start).
• One (1) year of experience working in manufacturing, logistics, shipping, order processing, or a related operational role in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• One (1) year of experience using computer‑based systems for data entry, order management, inventory tracking, or similar business operations.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for an employment visa status (e.g., H1B).

Additional Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience allocating materials to customer orders.
• Familiarity with BOL, LTL, and FTL shipping and dispatch processes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Prior experience allocating material to customer orders.

Pay & Benefits

The starting rate of pay for this position is $23.45, with the potential to reach $26.06. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
