Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a dispatcher to schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and equipment across Nassau and Suffolk Counties and beyond. The role includes relaying work orders, communicating with drivers via phone, radio, or text, and resolving issues with supervisors and customers.

Ideal candidates bring at least one year in transportation, a high school diploma, and are ready to support daily crew operations and record-keeping for service delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles or equipment to locations according to schedules.
• Relay information such as work orders to drivers and driving assistants.
• Use telephones, two-way radios or text messages to contact employees.
• Speak with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests or equipment.
• Prepare daily work such as schedules.
• Prepare work orders for crew or receive work orders from crews.
• Facilitate communications within company territories.
• Keep and organize work requests, customer requests, expenses and inventory records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Keep and organize work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information. Perform other duties as assigned.
