Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dispatcher role based in Kankakee, IL. The Dispatcher will coordinate daily truck routes and schedules, assign loads to drivers, and ensure timely pickups and deliveries for bulk, chemical, food grade kosher, and regional/long-haul services. The role includes maintaining real-time communication with drivers, responding to unforeseen delays, and updating customers on shipment status. The Dispatcher will review transport requests, optimize routes for efficiency and safety, and accurately record trip information in dispatch and tracking systems. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with operations and safety teams, monitoring compliance with company policies and regulations, and supporting continuous improvement in service reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatching or transportation coordination, with strong knowledge of routing and scheduling in a trucking or logistics environment.
• Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS and tracking tools, and basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and transportation management systems).
• Strong communication and customer service skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and internal teams in a professional and respectful manner.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments, handle changing conditions, and solve problems quickly.
• Understanding of transportation safety practices and regulatory requirements; experience with bulk, chemical, or food grade fleets is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Kankakee, IL, maintain reliable attendance, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced operations environment.
• Tank wash expirence a must
• Available to answer drivers calls and texts on sundays.
