Job summary

Viking Inc in Holden, ME is seeking a Dispatcher to schedule and coordinate deliveries, communicate with drivers and customers, and monitor activities to ensure on-time, accurate material deliveries. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 4:00/5:00pm with rotational Saturdays, and pay is based on Total Compensation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch delivery trucks and drivers according to customer orders and delivery priorities
• Coordinate daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs
• Communicate delivery schedules and updates to customers and contractors
• Verify order details, delivery locations, and any special handling requests
• Work closely with yard workers to ensure orders are pulled correctly for transfers
• Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT transportation regulations and safety procedures
• Coordinate with other locations on transfers/deliveries as needed

Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $68,000.00 Annually

Position Summary:

The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and coordinating deliveries, communicating with drivers and customers, monitoring delivery activities and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time. This role is a key link between sales, drivers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch delivery trucks and drivers according to customer orders and delivery priorities
• Coordinate daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs
• Communicate delivery schedules and updates to customers and contractors
• Verify order details, delivery locations, and any special handling requests
