Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Dispatcher to support driver and customer communications on a 12-hour rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. You will weigh trucks, document loads, and coordinate with Operations using Windows-based tools.

Day-to-day tasks include updating logs, handling bills of lading, and routing drivers to loading racks while maintaining safe, efficient operations in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience in an office environment.
• Ability to work a twelve (12) hour work schedule.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and nights.
• On call and overtime availability required.
• Flexibility to work all shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers and drivers as appropriate.
• Answers phones, takes messages and transfers calls.
• Weighs trucks in and out.
• Completes Bill of Ladings when necessary.
• Enters new drivers in computer program.
• Directs drivers to proper loading racks.
• Checks email frequently to assure the latest updates regarding orders, supply and product specifications are seen in a timely manner.
• Updates various logs with information as needed.
• Informs the Operations team when a truck has been dispatched to a loading and/or off-loading rack via hand‑held radio.
• Reports all overloads, loading delays, mishaps and other related issues immediately to the Head Operator.
• Ensures that the work area is safe, clean and free of clutter for efficient day-to-day operations.
