Blk Out Transport is a rapidly growing family owned and operated trucking company located in Franklin Park, IL.

We're looking for a PM Dispatcher and Operations Specialist who will assist morning dispatchers in analyzing the end of day dispatch plans. Making necessary changes while communicating details and confirming the dispatch plan for the next day. This position will be a blend of dispatch and operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pickup, delivery, and tracking of freight orders
• Track shipments to ensure timely pickup or delivery
• Optimize delivery/pickup by adjusting routes as needed for next day
• Maintain communication with customers and drivers
• Monitor and update order status in TMS
• Communicate any delays or other potential issues to the customer
• Communicate with customers and/or other internal departments to address special handling requests, coordinate pick up times, and ensure freight details are conveyed effectively.
• Ensure measures are in place to maximize driver productivity
• Efficiently organize and prepare essential paperwork including manifests, bills of lading, copies of delivery forms, and pickups

Requirements

• 2+ years of freight dispatching or Cartage Operations experience preferred
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to direct, lead, and motivate a team of drivers
• Must be a strong team player
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent work ethic and attendance

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
• Rotating Weekend on Call
