Job summary

Schnellecke Logistics is seeking a Dispatch Clerk to ensure efficient truck registration and timely processing of loads. You will interact with drivers, enter data in SAP, and coordinate trailer movements on site, all while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires Excel proficiency, ability to pass a drug screen and background check, and physical stamina for a warehouse environment that can be hot, cold, and noisy. This is a full-time on-site position in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel and data entry.
• Able to communicate clearly with drivers and warehouse staff.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check.
• Physically able to sit, stand, and walk frequently.
• Warehouse environment can be hot, cold, and noisy.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch Clerk checks in/out trucks and validates BOL/ASN.
• Enter load data into SAP and receive trailers.
• Notify MRP of any errors.
• Direct drivers where to drop or pick up trailers.
• Record outgoing driver information (dunnage, empty trailer, or bobtail).
• Ensure adherence to Schnellecke safety procedures.
• Follow standard work procedures and safety rules.

Description: Position Summary:

Shift: Monday and Tuesday 2pm-10pm

Saturday and Sunday 6am-6pm

Wednesday Alternate 2pm-10pm

Dispatch Clerk must ensure that all incoming and outgoing trucks are registered and received in a timely manner.

What will you do:

• Dispatch Clerk meets truck driver evaluates BOL or ASN and distinguishes where the load goes to NAFTA or MBCC dock.
• Responsible for entering load data in the SAP system and receive the trailer.
• Must run reports and notify Mercedes MRP of any errors.
• Dispatch Clerk will instruct driver where to drop the trailer on the lot or dock.
• Once driver has dropped the incoming trailer, they will be instructed whether to pick up and empty or not.
• Dispatch Clerk will record outgoing driver information: Picking up a dunnage trailer, an empty trailer or bob tailing without one.
• Always adhere to Schnellecke safety principles.
• Know and follow standard work procedures and safety rules for all assigned tasks.
• Personal protective gear must always be worn on the shop floor and truck yard to prevent injury to self or others.
