Job summary

Food Authority, INC is seeking a dispatch coordinator to manage the daily routing and ensure paperwork, equipment, and orders are ready for dispatch.

You will coordinate EPODs, Omnitracks, and handheld devices, create driver packets, assign routes, and support the delivery team while interfacing with warehouse, inventory, and customer service.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to influence employees to meet schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Dispatch the delivery team at appropriate times and assign helpers as needed.
• Review Daily Open Order Report to ensure orders are loaded and ready for delivery.
• Assist with routing trucks and mid-shift receiving.
• Interface with warehouse, inventory, and customer service as needed.
• Assist with safety culture and any other duties as assigned.

Description:

The objective of this position is to coordinate the dispatch process for the delivery team, ensuring all paperwork, equipment, and orders are routed, loaded and ready for the Dispatch process on a daily basis. Provides management with an overview of dispatch/routing issues and troubleshoot as necessary to make sure all routes are dispatched. Co-ordinates dispatch of equipment to assigned Driver teams.

Hourly Rate $21.00

Accountabilities:

• Set up, troubleshooting and prepping EPOD’s for daily routes.


• Set-up, troubleshooting and prepping of Omnitracks for daily routes.


• Set-up, troubleshooting and prepping of handhelds for the routes.


• Creates the driver packets and assigns keys for routes.


• Assigns E-LOGS to the Drivers for the daily assigned trucks.


• Completes Daily Schedule for Delivery Operations at the end of the night.


• Advising management of any emergency call-ins needed to complete routes on daily basis.


• Assists with routing trucks as needed.


• Dispatches the delivery team at appropriate times, assigns Helpers as needed and ensures all trucks dispatched on time.


• Coordinating getting add-ons onto trucks ready for route dispatch.


• Reviewing Daily Open Order Report to make sure all orders are loaded and ready for delivery.


• Assists with Mid Shift Receiving


• Supports Customer Service team with Mid Shift Cash and Carry prep and pickup.


• Assists with scheduling of delivery team.


• Assist with safety culture.


• Any other duty that might be assigned from time to time.


• Assures all tasks are performed according to company policies and procedures.


• Interface with warehouse, delivery team, inventory, and customer service as needed.
