Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Florida is seeking motivated individuals to join our Processing Department. You will dismantle vehicles safely and efficiently, assist with tagging and storing parts, and learn engine dismantling from experienced teammates.

This role emphasizes following safety standards, working in a busy shop environment, and developing hands-on skills with a variety of tools. Previous body repair or mechanical experience is a plus; willingness to learn and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in body repair, mechanical work, or dismantling preferred.
• May be required to provide own tools.
• Basic math and simple record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dismantler/Trainer with vehicle dismantling.
• Learn tagging and storing parts in the system.
• Work with Engine Dismantlers to learn engine dismantling.
• Follow safety guidelines to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

May write brief messages and keep simple records.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
