Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Michigan is seeking a Dismantler to safely remove high-quality auto parts and usable cores. You will label, Tag, and stock parts, while ensuring quality and proper handling. Must own and maintain essential tools and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

The role starts at $20.00 per hour with commission after 60 days, plus competitive benefits. Must have hands-on automotive repair experience and work Monday–Friday, with potential for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on automotive repair experience.
• May be required to have own set of tools as needed.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle vehicles within time constraints in a safety-conscious manner.
• Label and tag parts to be placed into stock.
• Check quality and product type of parts; maintain tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must own and maintain all the tools necessary.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceMust have hands-on automotive repair experience.May be required to have own set of tools as needed to carry out duties.Preferred RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Basic computer skills.Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).Frequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust.
