Job summary

LKQ Corporation’s Gorham Auto site is seeking a Dismantler Helper for on-site, full-time work, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 4:30 pm. Starting pay is $20–$22 per hour and comes with benefits and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

You will assist the dismantling team, learn tagging and storage of parts, and collaborate with engine dismantlers when needed. The role requires tolerance for hazardous environments, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, willingness to work in

• May be required to have own tools to carry out duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dismantler/Trainer with dismantling vehicles.
• Learn dismantling system, tagging and storing parts.
• Work with Engine Dismantlers to learn engine dismantling.
• Follow safety standards and maintain a hazard-free workplace.
• Perform assigned duties as directed by supervisor.

May write brief messages and keep simple records.* Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.* Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.* Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.* Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.**Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment*** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.* The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
