Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Crystal River, FL is seeking a Dismantler/Processor to perform day-to-day activities in the Processing Department. You will dismantle vehicles, tag and store parts, and work with engine dismantlers while following safety standards.

The role requires basic math, ability to use a small tools set, and reliable record-keeping. A high school diploma is preferred and some lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• Background in body repair, mechanical, or dismantling experience.
• May be required to provide your own set of tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dismantler/Trainer with dismantling vehicles.
• Learn dismantling, tagging and storing parts.
• Work with Engine Dismantlers to learn engine dismantling.

May write brief messages and keep simple records.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
