Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Dishwasher at University of Nebraska at Omaha. This full-time role supports kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout food production and service areas.

You will clean equipment, transport supplies, and assist with basic set‑up and break‑down tasks as directed. Expected duties include washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, stocking supplies, and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to maintain sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies like soap and paper towels.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods; shifts may exceed 8 hours.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and sometimes 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows up on time; other duties as assigned.
