Job summary

Juniper Communities is hiring for a per diem kitchen helper in Paramus, NJ. The role assists the Executive Chef/Dietary Manager and Cook by washing dishes, utensils, pots, glassware, and other kitchen items, while performing various kitchen cleaning activities.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, assisting in storage, and upholding sanitation and Health Department regulations. High School Diploma is preferred and knowledge of dishwashing is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of dishwashing and cleaning techniques, food service equipment.

Per diem position. Must be available mornings and evenings

Pay: Starting at $15.92 per hour

Role:Assists Executive Chef/Dietary Manager and Cook by washing dishes, utensils, pots, glassware, and other kitchen items. Performs a variety of kitchen cleaning activities.

Responsibilities:

• Operates kitchen equipment and machinery that may include dishwasher to wash dishes, utensils, pots, glassware, and other kitchen items.
• Assist in the storage of food and kitchen items.
• Perform a variety of kitchen cleaning activities.
• Practice proper sanitation and compliance to all Health Department regulations pertaining to food service.

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma, preferred.
• Knowledge of dishwashing and cleaning techniques, food service equipment.
