Job summary

Wicked Weed Brewing, part of Brewers Collective, is seeking a part-time dishwasher for its Brewpub at 91 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, set up dish pit, clean dishes and wares, and support the back-of-house team during busy shifts.

The role requires reliability, flexibility, and the ability to stand for long periods. You’ll help uphold food safety standards, assist with minor prep tasks when needed, and adapt to changing duties in a busy dining environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Must be able to work quickly and efficiently for long periods of time and enjoy the challenge of a high volume work environment. Must have reliable transportation and flexible availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting up dish pit; ensuring chemicals are properly stocked and connected
• Cleaning all dishes and small wares
• Other cleaning tasks as needed
• Minor prep tasks as needed
• Upholding food safety standards at all times

Work Environment:

Rapid changing flow of business That of a busy brewpub dining area and full service kitchen. Late nights/Early mornings Fast-paced The employee frequently must work in an environment with a moderate to high noise level. Hot or humid conditions Cold conditions in the walk-in Steam, kitchen equipment, and chemicals

Physical Demands:

Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time standing and/or walking. Walking surfaces may be wet and/or slippery. Ability to frequently talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs. safely and with proper body mechanics and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 lbs. Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environment with fluctuations in temperature and conditions (heat, cold, humidity) for an extended period of time.
