Position Overview

The Dome in Virginia Beach is seeking dedicated and hardworking Dishwashers/Utility Workers to join our culinary team. This role is vital for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment during concerts, private events, and high-volume food service. Ideal candidates take pride in their work, thrive in fast-paced settings, and uphold the highest sanitation standards.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $15.00 - $19.00.

Benefits include 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching for part-time roles.

Responsibilities

1. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following health and safety regulations.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations and kitchen areas.
3. Assist with general kitchen duties such as trash removal, floor cleaning, and stocking supplies.
4. Support food prep tasks like peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients.
5. Ensure all workstations are clean, stocked, and ready for service.
6. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment.
7. Assist with kitchen setup and breakdown during events.
8. Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures (training provided).
