Job summary

Presbyterian Village North, part of Forefront Living, is hiring a Dishwasher/Utility Steward in our Culinary Services Dept. This role supports the daily function of three kitchens, with 8-hour shifts between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Join a team committed to compassionate care for residents, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to smooth meal service. High school diploma or GED and at least six months of dish room experience preferred; English literacy required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of dish room or sanitation experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Genuine caring for mature adults and hospice patients.

Responsibilities

• Set up dish machine.
• Transport food carts to and from resident units.
• Deliver special request items to units as needed.
• Break down dishes from food carts if assigned.
• Rinse, pre-wash, rack and send dishes through dish machine.
• Pull dishes in dish room and put dishes in designed areas.
• Take out trash.
• Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dish room areas and back door area.
• Complete daily cleaning assignments as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist with tray line as needed or assigned.
• Assist with serving food in dining room to residents as needed or assigned.
• Keep up temperature record for dish machine.
• Keep records updated on all kitchen cleaning buckets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
