Job Purpose

Dishwashers are responsible for collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils, loading washing machines, and stacking washed items appropriately. They play a vital role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
2. Load and unload dishwashing machines
3. Wash specific items by hand (e.g., rice pots, large cookware, delicate glassware)
4. Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment properly
5. Ensure adequate stock of clean dishes, glasses, and utensils during peak hours
6. Maintain stock of cleaning supplies (e.g., detergents)
7. Check dishwashing machines' operation and report issues promptly
8. Remove garbage regularly and dispose of it according to store procedures
9. Clean and sanitize the kitchen, bathrooms, and lobby areas as assigned
10. Uphold all TRAPCHK core values

Experience and Qualifications

1. Experience as a Dishwasher or in a restaurant capacity
2. Ability to follow instructions and assist with various tasks as needed
3. Good time management skills
4. Attention to detail and sanitation rules
5. High school diploma is a plus
6. Washington State Food Worker Card required before first day of work

Physical Demands

The employee must regularly lift items up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The role requires standing throughout the shift, walking, reaching, lifting, twisting, and crouching as needed.
