Dishwasher Position

Job Overview

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe kitchen area for our staff. Washes and cleans tableware, pots, pans, utensils and cooking equipment. Keeps thedishroomand equipment area clean and organized.

Experience

Experience as a dishwasher is preferred.

Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands.

A working knowledge of the practices and procedures of safe food handling and safety practices.

Friendly demeanor and positive attitude.

Ability to work in a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain the highest quality and consistentcleaninessof dishware.

Follow all company procedures.

Load, run and unload dish machine. Keep machinery clean and report any mechanical problems to immediate supervisor. Monitor machinery to insure proper water temperature and chemical use to properly sanitize items.

Bag and haul trash to dumpster.

Maintain adequate levels of detergents and cleaning supplies. Coordinate with supervisor when ordering is necessary.

Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager or manager on duty.

Uniform Requirements:

Clean, non-slip shoes must be worn in kitchen area. Socks must be worn. Clean pants and shirts must be worn. Chef jackets provided. All applicable food handling and safety requirements must be followed.

Hours and Availability

Typical workweek: 20-40 hours

*May be more hours during high event seasons.

Hours vary depending on business demand.

Benefits and Pay

Employees are considered “full time status" if the employee consistently works over 30 hours per work week. Benefits are offered to all full time employees after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision and a free life insurance policy.
