Job summary

Amber Court of Elizabeth in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our assisted living kitchen and dining team. You will assist with food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment for residents.

Responsibilities include helping the Cook with daily menus, preparing meals for events, operating dishwashing equipment, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper food storage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, dining or food service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet demand.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail in all duties.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with food preparation following daily menus.
• Help prepare meals and food items for events and occasions.
• Support meal service by plating, serving, and preparing beverages.
• Bus tables during and after meals and reset dining areas for the next service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and sanitize pots, pans, and utensils.
