Job summary

Open Hand Atlanta Inc. is seeking a Sanitation Steward (Dishwasher) in Atlanta, GA. The role operates and maintains cleaning equipment, washes and sanitizes kitchen areas, and supports sanitation of storerooms and dining spaces.

Responsibilities include following GMPs, assisting with sanitation records, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended shifts; HS diploma or GED and sanitation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred and acceptable reading skills.
• One year of sanitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Open Hand safety guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains sanitation records conforming to federal/state and departmental guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness of culinary equipment, small wares, and work areas.
• Cleans all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and racks.
• Cicks up spills and removes trash and cardboard.
• Maintains kitchen floors through sweeping and mopping; spaces mop room/janitorial area.
