Job Summary

Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Activities & Responsibilities

• Create a respectful work environment that encourages staff development.
• Arrive prepared to start your shift on time.
• Understand proper use of dish machines and the three-compartment sink setup.
• Follow all Health Department regulations regarding dishwashing.
• Work cleanly, ensuring stations are cleaned after each task.
• Notify managers about low supplies or equipment issues.
• Efficiently clean all dishware, preventing pileups.
• Organize all clean dishware throughout the kitchen.
• Restock dishes and small wares on the line and in the restaurant.
• Assist with bathroom cleaning and deep cleaning of kitchen and prep stations regularly.
• Take out trash daily, organizing trash, recycling, and compost separately.
• Restock hand wash sinks with soap and paper towels.
• Clean floors and walk-ins regularly.
• Assist with simple prep tasks (e.g., cleaning garlic, shallots, herbs, juicing citrus).
• Support team members as needed.
• Follow specific cleaning procedures for equipment and workspaces.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with team members.
• Maximize efficiency and manage time properly during shifts.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Perform tasks thoughtfully and seek help when needed.
• Ensure safety standards to prevent injuries.
• Work independently when necessary, especially in the absence of supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Communicate effectively in English and some Spanish.
• Have good teamwork and communication skills.
• Maintain proper hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
• Work standing for long periods (at least 8 hours).
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Be available to work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
