Position Summary: Ensure all service/kitchen-wares are clean and sanitized. Interact with fellow team members and supervisors politely and courteously to ensure gracious hospitality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Tao Group Hospitality Employee Handbook.
- Anticipate and accommodate the needs of all employees.
- Aide in cleaning inside and outside the venue.
- Properly store and remove garbage and soiled linens.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dish station, the kitchen, and the entire venue.
- Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers, and be a team player.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the dish machine and proper usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Have general knowledge of the venue.
- Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Communicate product needs to the chefs and/or purchaser.
- Set up dish station and perform opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including stocking stations, maintaining and cleaning kitchen equipment, and sanitizing stations.
- Perform opening and closing side-work as prescribed.
- Report all breakage and damage immediately.
- Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
- Learn by listening, observing, sharing knowledge, and leading by example.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
- Work as part of a team, offering help and support to fellow team members.
Training Requirements:
- Tao Group Hospitality in-venue Dish Washer training and Food Handling Certificate.
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- Previous porter and/or dish washer experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive motion tasks.
- Exposure to hot kitchen elements and cleaning materials.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
