Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities in Ohio is seeking a part-time kitchen assistant to perform dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitation tasks Friday through Sunday, 11am-7pm.

You will wash utensils, sanitize equipment, sweep and mop the dish area, and keep dining and kitchen spaces orderly according to schedules. We offer benefits and a supportive team environment for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk during shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform dish and pot washing and general cleaning.
• Wash utensils, chinaware, eating utensils, and glassware for dining room reset.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work surfaces per schedules.
• Clean dish room: wash floor mats, clean dishwasher, shine stainless steel.
• Sweep and mop dish room and kitchen floors and storage areas.

Schedule:

Part-Time. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 11am-7pm.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• perform necessary responsibility for dish and pot washing, and general cleaning duties
• wash all utensils, chinaware, eating utensils, and glassware for reset of dining room
• clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
• clean dish room, including washing floor mats, draining and cleaning dishwasher and shining stainless steel.
• sweep and mop dish room, kitchen floors, storage areas and other areas pertaining to kitchen

Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• must be self starter
• must be able to communicate in an interdisciplinary team
• must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk and move frequently during working hours
• must be able to lift, and carry up to 30 lbs. and push or pull up to 40 lbs.
