Job summary

Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar is seeking a part-time dishwasher to support a fast-paced kitchen. You will maintain a clean, safe food prep environment and assist with inventory and supplies to ensure smooth service.

Reporting to the Chef, you will follow health and safety regulations, sanitize dishes and equipment, and help keep the kitchen organized and efficient for staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food preparation equipment, dishes, cutlery and related areas
• Sweep, mop, and spot clean floors
• Empty trash and change trash liners
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize walls, handles, doors, shelves, fridges and freezers as needed
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle
• Keep dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately to the Chef
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and banquet areas
• Keep storage areas organized and free of clutter
• Follow all respectful workplace policies
• Comply with all safety regulations and safe work practices
• Maintain a safe work environment for both staff and general public
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent injuries, breakage and loss
• Notify the Chef(s) regarding supplies and equipment in a timely manner to ensure adequate levels are available
• Receive and unload inventory, and maintain equipment and supplies for storage areas
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
• Adhere to and comply with all policies, safety regulations and safe work practices that will ensure a safe work environment
• Maintain a professional image while working and provide extraordinary experiences to our park visitors while performing daily work activities
• Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, volunteers, and visitors

Description

Reporting to the Chef, Dishwashers maintain a clean kitchen and food preparation environment, ensuring safety, hygiene and cleanliness that meet or exceed hospitality best practices. This includes ensuring supplies, inventory, equipment and facilities are maintained in good order according to quality standards of cleanliness, food preparation, food hygiene and adhering to all health and safety legislation, regulations, and policies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
