Five Star BBQ in Orem, UT is seeking an evening dishwasher to support a busy kitchen. Shifts run four evenings per week from 3:30 pm to close, around 10:00–10:30 pm, offering consistent hours.

You will operate commercial dishwashing equipment, clean items, maintain sanitation, and collaborate with kitchen staff to keep dishes flowing and the area organized. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and flexibility during peak times.

Five Star BBQ is looking for an evening dishwasher, Four shifts a week, 3:30 pm to close, typically 10-10.30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Dishwashing:

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and handwash in three-compartment sink to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
• Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
• Sort and organize cleaned dishes and utensils in designated storage areas.
• Ensure proper storage practices to maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant staff to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Communicate effectively with chefs and servers to manage the flow of dirty and clean dishes.
• Support kitchen staff by keeping work areas clean and sanitized.
• Empty trash bins regularly and dispose of waste following proper procedures.

Maintain Equipment:

• Keep dishwashing equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Report any issues with equipment functionality to the manager.
• Follow proper safety and sanitation guidelines, including the use of protective equipment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Time Management:

• Work efficiently to handle a high volume of dishes during busy periods.
• Manage time effectively to ensure a constant supply of clean dishes for kitchen operations.
• Assist in other kitchen tasks as needed during peak hours or when required.
• Be willing to take on additional responsibilities to support the overall functioning of the restaurant.
