Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a part-time dishwasher for Sunday through Tuesday at Maplewood at Newtown, CT. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Dining department, supporting a clean, sanitary dining service for residents.

You will wash dishes, operate dishwashing equipment, and help with stock, sanitation, and daily kitchen tasks while adhering to food-safety standards. Training is provided and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong cleanliness and organizational skills.
• Good teamwork and communication in English.
• Familiar with basic kitchen equipment and dishwashers.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep the kitchen, dish room, and work areas clean and organized.
• Remove trash and recycling after each meal.
• Clean and dry dishwashing equipment and floors at the end of each shift.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
• Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to support daily dining operations.
• Assist with food preparation, stocking supplies, inventory, and deliveries as needed.
