Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is hiring a full-time dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and utensils in our Sun Outdoors kitchens in Casa Grande, AZ. You will operate dishwashing equipment safely, manage detergents, assist with basic food prep, and help keep the kitchen organized and sanitary.

The role requires reliable, team‑oriented individuals with basic computer skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Some High School Education required
• 6 months restaurant or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer proficiency including email and internet
• Pass Safe Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, flatware, glassware, and kitchen pots, pans and utensils (Essential)
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes; carries clean dishes to cooking area or storage area (Essential)
• Operates dish washing machines safely according to manufacturer specifications (Essential)
• Uses proper detergent and sanitizer amounts in dish machines
• Maintains kitchen and dish areas clean and sanitary
• Assists with food preparation work as needed
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Job Duties

• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, flatware, glassware, and kitchen pots, pans and utensils (Essential)
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes; carries clean dishes to cooking area or other proper storage area (Essential)
• Operates dish washing machines safely and according to manufacturer specifications (Essential)
• Utilizes proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer chemical amounts in dish machines
• Handles tableware and glassware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Empties kitchen trash on a regular basis
• Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish areas including sweeping floors and clearing dirty dishes from cooking area
• Performs shift opening and closing duties including cleaning kitchen mats, sweeping, and mopping kitchen and dishwashing areas
• Assists with food preparation work as needed
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Some High School Education (Required)
• 6 months in Previous restaurant or customer service experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

• Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from date of hire
• Required Certifications/Licensures:(Food Handling Certification)
