Job purpose

Dishwashers are essential members of a full dining restaurant team. Dishwashers ensure the cleanliness of all restaurant silverware, glassware, kitchenware, and tableware in a timely and professional manner. They also maintain cleanliness in other restaurant areas such as the dining floor, kitchen floor, bathrooms, and preparation areas. Additionally, dishwashers are responsible for safely disposing of all trash.

Duties and responsibilities

• Clean and wash dishes, including silverware, glassware, kitchenware, and tableware.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining floors, including sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Ensure the cleanliness of other areas like bathrooms and preparation tables.
• Handle trash disposal safely and efficiently.
• Perform side jobs before, during, and after shifts as required.

Qualifications

• One year of dishwashing experience preferred.
• Ability to handle, clean, and wash all restaurant ware safely and hygienically.
• Ability to handle sharp and potentially dangerous items.
• Positive and friendly attitude at all times.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively under pressure.
• Willingness to follow safety regulations regarding chemicals and dangerous items.

Working conditions

Indoor kitchen environment handling various food products. Candidates with severe food or chemical allergies should inform management during the application process.

Physical requirements

Standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, moderate lifting up to 65 lbs, working with gloves and chemicals.

Employment details
