Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our Food & Beverage outlets by keeping cookware and tableware clean and ready for service.

You will develop multiple skills across different outlets, learn the operations of our properties, and collaborate with a friendly team to help guests enjoy a seamless experience.

This role requires teamwork, flexibility, and adherence to health standards, with uniforms provided and access to our Team Member hotel discount program.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean cookware and tableware to outlets and meeting rooms.
• Clean cookware and tableware to health standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the dish area.
• Stock plates and pans for service.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Break down dish machine and ensure proper storage.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver clean cookware and tableware to various outlets and meeting rooms
• Clean all cookware and tableware to meet hotel and Health and Safety Standards
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by ensuring floors and equipment are clean and arranged according to Food and Beverage specifications.
• Separate all silverware and return to proper area
• Ensure all glasses are placed in proper glass racks and returned to proper area
• Ensure pots, pans, and china storage racks are cleaned, organized and properly stored.
• Remove trash, and clean trash cans daily
• Sweep and mop floors in dish area throughout shift
• Clear and Clean all Queen Marys after Banquet Functions
• Stock clean plates & sauté pans on the line for service
• Break down and deep clean dish machine (inside & out)
• Check Hot Boxes (clean as needed)
• De-Lime dish machine (as directed and per schedule)
• Remove and clean dishes from Server area (AM and PM shifts)
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to understand, and speak basic English, to effectively take direction and communicate with management and other Team Members.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding, in carrying out instructions
• Ability to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including Holidays.
• Must be able to work without constant supervision.
• Must be able to work well as a part of a team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand for long periods of time on hard surface; using arms, hands and legs repetitively; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, talk, hear and smell. Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, warm temperature and be exposed to various food products.
• Must be able to utilize cleaning chemicals in the daily course of responsibilities
• Must regularly be able to carry and balance up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Must be capable of effectively using close vision, distance vision, color vision and sense of smell.
• Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
