Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic experience in a customer service or food industry position or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Must have the ability to understand and communicate in English with adequate proficiency to follow directions, read safety guidelines, and communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment in the dish room and pots/pans.
• Properly stores clean service-ware and cookware.
• Cleans work and service areas, and related equipment in accordance with the sanitarian’s recommendations.
• May assist with training student and temporary employees.
• Positively and professionally interacts with customers.
• Performs trash and compost removal duties.
• Contributes to the team by performing other duties in support of the department’s mission.
• Occasionally may work in a display cooking station or front of house areas; assist with serving food and monitoring inventory.
