Job summary

Sun Health is seeking a Dishwasher (Kitchen Steward) at Grandview Terrace Campus in Sun City West, AZ to maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. The role supports banquet setups, food prep assistance, and deliveries of supplies, all while upholding Sun Health’s standards.

Salary is $16.12–$17.80 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, and tuition reimbursement. Must have Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and Maricopa County Food Handlers Card at hire.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate safe knife handling.
• Must obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Washes tables, walls, refrigerators, blocks and other prep surfaces.
• Cleans dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment per local laws and policy.
• Removes trash and manages containers; sanitizes bins.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and buffet setup and with loading/unloading supplies.
• Labels, dates, and stores food items properly; distributes supplies as needed.
• Complies with sanitation and safety requirements; assists with food prep as needed.

The Kitchen Steward (dishwasher) is to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Properly cleans dishes, glassware, flatware, equipment and other utensils in accordance with local law.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and buffet set up.
• Assists with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Labels, dates and properly stores all food items.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Assists with food preparation and other duties as assigned.
• Attends facility In-services as required by supervisor and facility policy.
• Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) each and every day.

Your Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate safe knife handling.
• Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Maricopa County Food Handlers Card at time of hire.
