Job summary

PopStroke is seeking a friendly, energetic dishwasher to keep our kitchen running smoothly. You will load, run, and unload the dishwasher, ensuring all dishes are clean and sanitized for service. Pay rate: $16-$18 per hour.

This fast-paced, non-exempt role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Weekend and holiday availability is a must.

Qualifications

• Experience as dishwasher or kitchen steward in high-volume environments.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner.
• Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away on dish racks.
• Maintain the dishwasher area to make sure it is clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance.
• Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways, remove trash at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks.
• Safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
