Responsibilities

• Gathers all dirty dishware from tubs, rinses and stacks in dishracks, and clears leftovers and trash.
• Loads full dishracks on belt and places them according to machine instructions; operates automatic dishwashing equipment.
• Regulates detergents and chemicals by monitoring dispensers and adjusting controls.
• Unloads cleaned dishes, inspects for cleanliness, and stacks for easy access by staff.
• Scrubs pots, pans, and other items that cannot be washed automatically; dries and stores them properly.
• Polishes silver, stainless steel, and pewter to present clean, attractive equipment to diners.
• Maintains dishwashing equipment per manufacturer instructions to prevent breakdowns and ensure health compliance.
• Keeps dish room clean and orderly by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash; wipes counters and shelves.
• Cleans kitchen surfaces and hoods, walls, ceilings, and vents as scheduled.
