Job summary

Bocado Tapas, a neighborhood restaurant, is hiring a Dishwasher in Barrington, IL. You will keep tableware and kitchen items sanitary, support a smooth service, and assist with prep work as needed.

We seek energetic team players with a passion for food and guest satisfaction, who can stand long hours, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in hot or cold conditions while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Passion for food and ensuring an excellent dining experience for all guests.
• Energetic and genuine positive attitude while interacting with team-members and guests.
• Be able to reach, bend, and lift up to 30+ pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 9 hours) with breaks.
• Work in hot and cold temperature extremes while following safety rules.
• Work as part of a team and maintain composure during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, genuine hospitality in a timely manner.
• Ensure guests feel important and welcome in the restaurant.
• Sanitize tableware, glassware, chinaware and cooking utensils.
• Scrape, pre-rinse and wash dishes by hand or machine as needed.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Remove trash and clean work areas, equipment and floors.
• Assemble and maintain the dishwashing station and report issues.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies, and adapt to changing volume.
