Job Summary

Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by washing dishes, food preparation equipment, and utensils.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
  2. Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment appropriately.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  4. Prepare foods for cooking or serving as needed.
  5. Stock supplies such as food and utensils in designated areas.
  6. Sweep and scrub floors regularly.
  7. Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
  8. Sort and dispose of trash properly.
  9. Transport supplies or equipment between storage and work areas.
  10. Receive and store supplies efficiently.
  11. Prepare and package individual place settings.
  12. Assist in loading and unloading food or supply trucks.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  1. Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions.
  2. Adherence to safety rules and guidelines within the kitchen environment.

Education and Experience

  1. Completion of food safety coursework is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  1. Prolonged standing periods.
  2. Availability to work nights and weekends.
  3. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
