Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Quakertown is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support the kitchen team. The role involves washing pots, pans and utensils, stocking for breakfast operations, and maintaining high sanitation standards throughout the shift.

The position requires working 11:30am to 8:00pm, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided. St.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans and utensils; assist in dish room and store items properly.
• AM stocking to ready for breakfast operation.
• Perform general sanitation: wipe walls, sweep under shelves, clean equipment.
• Set up pot-washing area, wash and store pan ware and utensils.
• Receive stock and store; check items with supervisor as needed.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and dish room; remove trash and manage cans.
• Clean up and restock at shift end; assist dish room.
• Sweep, mop and clean areas during shift.
• Maintain personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform policy at all times.
• Follow safety procedures and protect confidential information.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence standards and contribute to performance improvements.
• Use resources efficiently and responsibly.
• Adhere to attendance and dress code.
• Other related duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

The hours will primarily be 11:30am - 8:00pm. Required to work every other weekend and holiday.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Dishwasher, Food Service will wash all pots, pans, and utensils; assist in the dish room and properly store and maintain all items. Receives stock and place it in the proper storage areas, sweep, mop and clean as directed.
• AM stocking in order to be ready for breakfast operation.
• Perform general sanitation i.e. wipe walls, sweep under shelves, clean equipment etc.
• Set up pot-washing area, wash and store pan ware and utensils as necessary.
• Receive stock and properly store, checking with supervisor for items needed to be pulled.
• Continuous maintenance and sanitation of kitchen; in particular dish room and pot washing areas. Remove all trash and maintain garbage cans.
• Proper clean up/restocking at shift's end - assist dish room.
• Sweep, mop, and clean areas as directed throughout the shift.
• Practice good personal hygiene, grooming standards and follow uniform policy at all times.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
• Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
• Demonstrates/models the Network's Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external). Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Walking for up to 7 hours, 30 minutes at a time; sitting for up to 1 hour at a time and standing up to 1 ½ hours for 30 minutes at a time. Frequently uses handling and occasionally twisting/turning, lifting (1-50 lb.), carrying (1-50 lb.), pushing (1-50 lb.), and pulling (1-50 lb.). When performing essential functions, occasionally involves with stooping/bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder level. Employee must have the ability to hear normal conversation, have general vision, far vision, and peripheral vision.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

No experience necessary, on job training will be provided.
