Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place in racks or on conveyors to the dishwashing machine.
• Wash pots, pans and trays according to procedures; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using approved methods and equipment; maintain sanitation standards.
• Maintain safety procedures and proper chemical temperatures.
• Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors; clean work surfaces and prep areas.
• Remove trash and manage waste disposal.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas; assist with loading/unloading as needed.

Job Summary

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyors to the dishwashing machine, depending on assigned equipment. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers. Steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
