Job summary

Restaurant Associates is hiring full and part-time Dishwashers at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. No previous experience required as training will be provided. Shifts may vary, requiring night and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dishes, pots, pans, kitchen and work areas in sanitary condition.
• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays according to procedures.
• Polish silver using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels in the dish area.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors; clean worktables and surfaces.
• Remove trash and handle garbage disposal as directed.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Pay

$16.00 per hour to $17.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses the dishwashing machine as assigned; ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans and trays according to procedures; ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using appropriate equipment; ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards; keeps dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors; cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and handles garbage disposal as directed.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
