Restaurant Associates is hiring full- and part-time dishwashers for Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. This role supports kitchen operations, handling dishware, pots, and prep surfaces to maintain cleanliness and safety across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash by hand or in dishwasher.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays following procedures to ensure cleanliness.
• Polish silverware using appropriate tools and maintain sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keep dish area orderly and comply with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean work surfaces as required.
• Remove trash and transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assist with loading/unloading supplies and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are hiring full- and part-time dishwashers for Longwood Gardens.

Job Details

Location: Longwood Gardens – 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348.

Schedule: Full- and part-time; days and hours may vary. Nights and weekend availability are required.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Requirements: Previous dishwashing experience preferred. Willing to be trained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor for dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver with burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth, following procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam‑clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
