Job Summary

The Dishwashers maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place in racks or on conveyor for the dishwashing machine, depending on equipment. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
2. Wash pots, pans, and trays according to procedures, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
3. Polish silver using appropriate equipment and methods, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
4. Follow safety procedures outlined by the employer.
5. Maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels as per standards.
6. Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
7. Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
8. Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
9. Remove trash and dispose of it properly; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
10. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
11. Assist in loading and unloading supplies and products.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
