The Dishwasher role involves performing various food service functions within our culinary department. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, assisting with food prep, and ensuring a high standard of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
• Perform kitchen activities such as dishwashing, pot washing, cleaning duties, storing supplies, and food prep assistance.
• Assist with setting and clearing tables and workstations.
• Sanitize equipment, surfaces, and kitchen areas.
• Follow dietary policies and serve correctly per guidelines.
• Represent the community warmly, creating a positive environment.
• Support a culture of hospitality that drives revenue and occupancy.
• Practice excellent customer service with residents, staff, and guests.
• Ensure resident safety and confidentiality of information.
• Follow directions and community policies, complete tasks accurately and timely.
• Attend training and participate in community meetings.
• Work cooperatively with residents, staff, and external providers.
• Observe safety, infection control, and residents’ rights policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and punctuality.
• Accept duties and corrections professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned efficiently and professionally.

Dishwasher Qualifications

• Six months of utility or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow supervisor’s directions.
• Good character, integrity, and concern for seniors’ physical and emotional needs.
• Required to receive the annual flu vaccine unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
